Liquidity token DLP token

• In exchange for the provided liquidity, the provider receives special liquidity tokens (DLP tokens). These tokens represent the user's share in the pool and entitle the user to receive a portion of trading commissions proportional to their contribution.

• DLP tokens can be used to withdraw funds from the pool.

The value of a DLP token

• Proportional share: A DLP token represents the liquidity provider's share of the pool. The value of these tokens depends on the amount of assets the provider has added to the pool and the total amount of assets in the pool.

• Dynamic Valuation: The value of LP tokens changes depending on trading activity and changes in the prices of the assets in the pool. As the balance of tokens in the pool changes, the value of LP-tokens also changes.

• Liquidity Fee: As trades are made in the pool, the fee for each trade is distributed to all DLP token holders. This increases the value of the DLP because each token represents a share of a larger pool containing accumulated commissions.

DLP price dynamics

The dynamics of a DLP token are closely linked to activity in the liquidity pool and fluctuations in asset prices. Liquidity providers earn revenue from commissions, but are also exposed to the risk of volatile losses. Proper liquidity management and an understanding of the risks and returns associated with it is an important aspect.

The price of DLP is calculated using the formula:

Benefits and risks of DLP retention

DLP provides traders with the ability to use leverage to open and hold trading positions. Although the price of SLP usually remains stable even during market fluctuations, owning this token carries certain risks, especially when traders' total profits exceed their losses and paid commissions. These risks can cause the value of the token to decline. However, the redistribution of commissions in the Vault contributes to an increase in the value of the SLP in the medium and long term.
